Volunteer Opportunities

You can help ECH by volunteering your time.

Hours needed: 9:00am to 3:00pm, Monday through Friday
Types of work:

  • Intake interviewing with computer data entry.
  • Distribution of socks and hygiene kits.
  • Distributing mail to guests.
  • Tracking guests to Intake and the Chaplain.
  • Treating guests with dignity respect and love.
Weekly commitments for the same day or days seem to work best, developing trusting relationships with repeat guests. Our guests tend to recognize and distrust curiosity seekers and one-time visitors.
